Kamren Trey Morgan, 36, of Frederick, was arrested on Tuesday, March 11, after reportedly brandishing a firearm at another driver during a confrontation near Ballenger Creek Pike and English Muffin Way, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the area around 7 p.m. after the victim reported that a male suspect had pulled out a gun before speeding away.
Thanks to a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle, officers were able to locate Morgan’s car and conduct a traffic stop. During the investigation, deputies found a loaded handgun in the vehicle, officials said.
Morgan was taken into custody and charged with:
- First-degree assault;
- Second-degree assault;
- Reckless endangerment;
- Wear, carry, transport handgun;
- Handgun on person;
- Handgun in vehicle.
Morgan is currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
